Mic woes

for some reason my mic doesn't work on tf2, works on l4d2, can use it on windows movie maker, Even in the steam settings shows the mic working, but as soon as I launch tf2 & try the mic test I maybe once get a blip of sound, then acts like the mic isnt plug in. I checked the steam fourms & their "make sure the config for the voice is 1 " which it was already :u anyone having mic troubles on tf2?

The head set I'm using is a plantronics, I just tried to Realtek audio to change the mic jack, it kinda work, More blips then anything :/
