[/quote] Valve did patch some map exploits in the PS3 version, also the release version of the PC did not have 6 pipes, all public betas have been 4. The one big change for pipe bombs since public betas was explosion triggering. In the first like week of beta, if you touched a pipe and it was an enemies, it exploded, they changed that to after it bounces it wont explode when it hits someone. [/quote] Two snipers holding people back will allow someone to set up the sentry, which locks down like a motherfuck. As I said, once the situation is set, it makes things extremely tough to escape your own base. You'd have to coordinate a three person rush out of all the doors to try to break through, and that has a low success chance. Even more and you commit too much and your opponent gets a cap. It's a pretty bad situation, to be sure. |

[/quote] No they're weren't the current pipes are like TFC pipes with the exception that they will not detonate after one bounce. TFC you can bank shots off of walls and they will still kill on a mid-air hit, but if its settled to the the ground and you walk over it, it wont explode on you. At least Im fairly certain it wont, maybe Im too busy bunny hopping to notice. In the early TF2 beta, if you walked over a pipe that had settled to the ground it would explode on you. I really think it would be nice if you could still bank shots on the first bounce, IMO its kind of lame that you cant  Sig by Joel |
