I am a good guy to have on Mumble; I encourage clear concise comms from everyone and will give the same. Plus, I grew up in Texas and have a little bit of an accent, so it's easy to understand when your new Engineer is talking.

Sometimes, in the heat of the moment, it's forgivable to go bass to mouth.
It wasn't till later, though, that I realized Wild Party cut me loose after the 24-hour window had closed for being on someone else's roster in time for the match.
If it weren't for these Troper guys rescheduling their match time, I wouldn't have been able to put up any stats for Season 7 Week 1.

I cut myself out of MAXlander.

We started out September as a bunch of West Coast bros and our captain, Jenn (Prosperity), out to have a good time and finish in the Steel playoffs. Then the "invites rule" was published, and just like that, we had three ESEA-I players on our roster. Some of them were from the East Coast, so the scrims were scheduled too early for me. I made as many as I could.

But it was when she asked me to see about leaving my job early, so I could attend her 5:30 scrims, that things got really bad.

I told her no.
She kept asking.
I told her NO.
She kept asking.
I gave her all the reasons why my job is too important to leave early, especially on Mondays.
She told me I had an attitude problem.

I got to scrims in the nick of time, and Prosperity would give me a hard time in Mumble for everyone to hear: "Well I already called our sub engineer. It would be awkward to say he can't play now. Why don't you stick around in Spectator until the second half?" Later on: "Well yeah our sub engineer was almost topfragging in this one scrim, so we decided that he would play next Monday. You won't need to show up for the next 4 days of scrims. I guess we can start using you next week, or something?" And after that: "Uhh could you get me like the 'logs' and the 'demos' and upload those to somewhere? I really can't be bothered with learning how to do it, but the other team leader is like really getting on me about that stuff." Awesome. My main role on the team was server nerd. I couldn't accept that she was being mean to me to make me quit, because I thought that weak shit only happened in romantic relationships.

When I got home yesterday, I accepted Caffeine's invite to help seed the BRB,U server. Unfortunately Prosperity felt the need to join me and stack my team with the rest of MAX. I said that wasn't cool, and I switched teams so as not to be part of the stack. More names came on that I recognized, and at one point there were six Plat and Invite players on one side, coordinating through her Mumble. People on my side were ragequitting after being pubstomped. Caffeine told Prosperity that stacking was a douche move and against server policy besides, and Prosperity sent back "fuck you 2 da max".

I deleted the tag off of my profile name, where they all could see. Then I went to the UGC site and clicked "Leave Team". It was easier to leave than I thought it would be. And now they're banned from BRB,U servers. My status is Looking For Team, once again.
