This pretty much echoes my thoughts. Anyone else see the new trailer? It looks very sort of modern film school psychological.

IMO they should have used that film style once and then moved on to something else. Using it twice, unless its still spectacular somehow, is just carrying it too far.

The Spirit's only power is that everyone thinks he is dead, which sort of loses it's appeal after that first case, and has a racist characterture as a companion.
The only think remarkable about the spirit is the fantastic ways eiserner found to tell the stories, and much less the actual stories themselves. I'm sure the film will be great, they just need a better trailer. |
