Some good news! Metro 2034 is officially in the works.  It's also gonna have 3D tech which is no big deal really.  I guess they tested out the 3D on Metro 2033, no clue if it was any good.  3D is not something I'm really looking forward to with in gaming.

Wasn't the first already 3D certified with Nvidia's glasses?

I don't know really.  I wasn't paying attention to that aspect when it came out.  It probably was.

This game is amazing. Anyone have a tre of when and where the story splits off for the different endings?

Not sure.  I've been meaning to go back through it.  I think it's just a different ending really, rather than a whole separate direction you go.  I never really saw anything that made it seem like there was a way to change things or do anything different for the ending to me.

I hate the fact that it doesn't run well on my computer. But that said, aside from a few minor annoyance, I've enjoyed it so far.

It doesn't. It's as linear..ly...closed.... (wtf does that make sense?) as the metro tunnels in which it plays.

It's not perfect but this game is what video games were invented to produce. There is just so much layered in this game. I'd put it up there with the Half Life series.

The stealth sections in this game are absolutely infuriating to me as a stealth game fan.

Apparently Metro2033's idea of stealth means "do anything except shoot with a silencer, and everyone will lock on to your position and you'll have to go EXTREME RAMBO on dozens of people with your bullets that do no damage unless you do headshots"

It's irrating coming onto a group of 2 guys, only to be bested by psychic AI when I kill the first one. Second one instantly locks onto my position and everyone else outside of the situation does.

That's not stealth, that selective ramboism.

Yeah it certainly needs some fixes if they plan to bring back stealth stuff to the sequel.

I think stealth sections are interesting and this game is perfect for them... but thing is, the enemy AI just isn't built for it, and the levels arn't really designed for anything more than corridor shooting. I'm loving the choice in direction I have for the "get to the front lines" level I am now, but most levels don't offer that kind of non-linear level romping that level has, and the stealth is completely broken which makes it really difficult and annoying to try and be stealthy.

Yea it seems like one discovery and everyone magically knows where you are.

I think I got the good ending and I didn't even know what to do lol I mean, I don't think the one I got was bad in anyway.
