One of my machines does this. Pretty sure it's not harmful.

my PC will boot by it's self if it's connected to power (It's done this ever since I installed the 550 watt Power supply)

Very fun when your trying to trouble shoot the damn thing and you got your finger in the fan...

This is why we turn the PSU off when the computer is off

Though I only do that because I need to cold boot my computer in order for my MoBo to recognize my G15 as a keyboard.

I think the switch is spring-loaded or something.. no matter what I do the bloody thing stays on, oh well, learned the lesson (Probably should have known DAMN well before hand that it's a bad idea to stick your fingers in ANYTHING that's hooked up to an outlet... Probably explains why I've been electrocuted so many times....)

After you turn the PSU off you gotta push the power button in to instantly "drain" the rest of the power that is still stored inside of the computer. Turning the PSU switch off disables power from going into it, but there will still be enough power lingering in (transistors?) and what not to allow the computer to be turned on for a period of about 0.5 seconds or so Tongue

Or you could wait 10-15 minutes for it to go away on it's own.
