I'm interested in getting a tablet for reading and making notes on documents. I'd like it to be as large as possible and have a pen. I don't need it to be powerful, at the most I want something that could browse the internet to make it easier to get the stuff I need to read. I'm looking for something now and it doesn't look like there is much for what I'm looking for. Everyone wants to compete with the iPad. Does anyone have any suggestions?

It looks like the Galaxy Note 10.1 might have what I need, and a lot more. I wish there was a cheaper tablet with a decent stylus.

Actually I was going to suggest that or a Nexus, the pen however will come third party (many tablet case manufacturers include pens). Also take into consideration the option of buying your case alongside your tablet (it made my case cost me $2.27 for my Nexus 7 2013), you may have to go through one specific retailer to do this though, amazon has good deals.

I didn't like my large one (ASUS Transformer Prime), but I'm super pleased with my new Nexus 7 FHD.
