Ok, just looking for opinions on this.
EVGA 8800 GTS 512mb Thermaltake 650 Watt PSU. I might even be able to get a copy of Crysis free with the EVGA card. And I still don't know if I should lean towards getting a new CPU, cause it'll cost me a lot. (I have a 1.6 ghz dual core) |

You should def. get a new CPU. Also, unless you're gonna SLI, your PSU is overkill, and expensive. :-\

Well, the current PSU I've been recommending for people on a budget is this one. Assuming you're patient with rebates, it's a darn good price. 600W is plenty, and would be enough to handle a beefier CPU should you choose to upgrade that at some point.

Think it'll bottlecap my GPU? |

This PSU is also a pretty sweet deal using this coupon code: EMCBAACAF
Your CPU will be your system bottleneck at this point, but I guess you can probably hold off for a while on upgrading that and just wait and see if you're happy with what kind of performance you're getting after you upgrade your GPU (unless you're planning on playing something more hardcore than TF2 ). If you really wanna upgrade it all at once, I'd just say spend as much as you're willing on a new CPU. Ripped like paper raped with ease hey scrub nerd pyros suck on these

Does EVGA still give you the proper warranty if it's recertified?Â

You should look into one of the high end dual cores that posted on the Build a Rig Thread...a 3.1 dual for 97. I think it might be even cheaper on other websites.
