Yes or no...
I realize I would have to buy a hard drive separately. |

The arcade is a piece of shit, you're better off buying a used one on Ebay, Red Rings have a 5 year warranty, thats how I got mine, I bought a red ringed box for $99 then after I added in controllers and the PSU it came up to like $250.

Actually, it's not as bad a deal as it was before, seeing as I believe you get 2 games that are decently enjoyable, and Microsoft is running a deal where you get a 20 GB hard drive for $30 online.

Over the holidays I purchased a 360 Arcade from Dell.ca for $150 Canadian.
I then got a 20gb hard drive for $30 Canadian and it included 3 months of xbox live. The new Arcade models have HDMI on board and are less susceptible to heat-issues. So $180 Canadian is roughly $144 USD. |

Ebay fucked me over. The console didn't come with the PSU and controller it was supposed to and ended up being XBL banned. Then after 2 days of usage the Disc drive went bye bye.

Read over the auction very carefully to find out every discrepancy between what was advertised, and what was sold. Now, I assume he didn't mention that the console was banned from XBL, which would definitely count as a defective product. The missing PSU and controller alone should be enough. Thankfully, eBay has come a long way since the days when I used to get ripped off. Back then eBay would tell you to go to a third party company, who even then would only try (for a fee) to get you talking. If the person who ripped you off didn't respond back or said they did nothing wrong, end of story. :-\ Caffeine`brb!u: /facepalm Caffeine`brb!u: you have the technological ability of Dede Caffeine`brb!u: OOOOOOO what does this button do Caffeine`brb!u: *break* Caffeine`brb!u: SCOTTY GET OUT OF MY SERVER |

Banned from x-box live means it was stolen in the first place. Do you really want to be complicit in that crime?
