$55 CAN for 1 bottle. I don't even know how much shipping would cost to get here.

Christ, Caff, I want that.  Also, I've been meaning to mention this.  Rogue puts out a nice Ale called "Double Dead Guy"

http://www.rogue.com/beers/double-deadguy.php

Quite nice, just had a bottle the other night.

Heh, I also grabbed a couple bottles of Rogue the other night, though I went with the Chocolate Stout. While it was definitely a tasty stout, I'd definitely agree with a couple of the comments that mentioned it was more dark than milk chocolate. Unfortunately, I do not care for dark chocolate, but it was still a pretty good time

The hipster market near us has a large selection of Rogue beer but I've always found them to be a bit bitter.

I'm finding that review hard to believe. How could the first smell not be alcohol at 32%?
That's almost like saying the first smell of a spirit isn't alcohol.
Anyone spending that much on such a rare beer will want to enjoy it.

I used to be a Whisky man myself, and in a way, I still kind of am. But one reason I have drifted from it is because it is just too strong. I love the flavor, but I can only have about 3 tumblers before being too buzzed to appreciate it.

What makes a beer good to me is first and foremost, taste. Unlike spirits like Vodka that attempt to be as smooth as possible and mask the alcohol, beer goes more for taste (I reckon wine is also like this). This is the beauty of beer. It's nice to have a subtle alcohol flavor gently complementing many other flavors.

Part of what makes a beer a beer is the high water content, but what Brewdog is doing is just freezing it and taking it out.  It's really pushing the boundaries of what a beer actually is. While it's interesting, I still find it gimmicky. It's like they're selling a number rather than a taste. I love how the bag has a big 32% on it, as if they're trying to compensate for something ..
