<3 N2O, what they all say about family and karma is true. And don't get down on yourself for thinking that you're the only one that starts conversations - most of us are like that. Unless you get yourself involved, noone will talk to you, and that's not something to get down on yourself about, it's just one of life's quirks. So please stay involved, both here and IRL with others.

This is coming from someone who was so depressed at one point, if I checked my email and there weren't any new emails, I thought everyone in the world hated me and I wanted to cry. Some people have magnetic looks and others have to work at it. I'm a little goofy looking IRL and people hardly ever approach me. I see people all the time that others flock to and I used to get jealous, but usually it's just because they look good. But I've reached a point where I understand how to get around that and still make lots of friends. It really comes down to what Didzo said plus what it sounds like you already do. You have to be happy with yourself and project that confidence and aura of hey I'd like to be friends but if you don't like me I could give a fuck, your loss. Then just say hi to people, ask them questions, smile and wave at them, but then to prevent awkwardness assume that your contact ends there and let them continue it or not.

It takes a lot of practice, I used to be almost clinically shy. But I try and make the effort and it gets easier. When I buy a coffee I usually try and say something social and smile at them (busy day?), if I'm at a restaurant and the waiter doesn't look too busy I will usually ask them what is good and what they recommend, I wave to people I know and say bye to them as often as feasible. I sometimes even give people compliments randomly.

I told a guy I know he looked good in blue the other day. I only after realized how awkward that could have been (he went from wearing indie dark clothes to a bright blue I'm on a yacht outfit and I was curious about it, that was going to be my segue into asking him why the style change but I got sidetracked after, so yes it probably would have been weird if people didn't expect this of me at this point). Anyways we got a good laugh out of it and he thanked me for the compliment.

I mean it really comes down to practice, sometimes I just really can't understand how easy it is for me now compared to how it used to be. I've become friends or at least friendly with several people just because they waited on me. There is a guy that used to serve me coffee that still says hi to me if I run into him.

tl;dr - some of us have to make the effort and practice being social, but the effort pays off. Start with strangers, it takes more balls but in the end you will probably never see them again.

You either get the kiss or you don't. There is no "legit" ness about it, unless you're giving dudes roofies, which would be pretty un-legit. Do or do not, there is no try.

Here's a tip, you lose more points for NOT going for a kiss by the second date then getting your kiss brushed off or getting the cheek. Cuz the other guy is like "whats wrong with him, he hasn't even tried?" A brush off or the cheek does NOT mean NO. it means NOT YET.

if you get blown off the first date, and he agrees to a second, he's gonna be expecting you to go for the kiss again.

I'll admit I was a tad bit drunk as fuck. But still, you guys own, the people I know IRL, not so much.

Sure karma's just a number, but it's a little disheartening when on average I have the most negative instants, more so than tardle.

But that's still nothing compared to rl. If I talk to people more, they think I'm weird or a creep or some shit. Even Funbucks, who was my best friend for as long as I can fucking remember, wouldn't even start conversations with me. Every time we hung out, it was always me who had to ask. What the hell am I doing wrong? If anyone cared enough to get to know me, they'd realize I'm just a normal guy, but no one gives a shit. Girls don't talk to me ever, guys just make fun of me (even my friends in high school who did nothing but play video games). I think I know a grand total of 3 or 4 people who talk to me and are actually friends with me, and only one of them hangs out with me on a regular basis. I just feel like such a fucking failure. Hell, the way I act on the internet is nothing what I am irl. I'm usually nice to everyone and as far as I can remember, I've never hated on anyone unless they've hated on me first. I just don't know anymore...  :'(

Keep those 3 or four people close man. A core group of a few friends is better than a large group of "friends."

ALSO for the doublepost- they... umm... were about to go further when the girl (who is nicer than roomie) said "can't do it without my shirt off." I was facing towards the wall so I wouldn't have to see but they kept me up for a good hour or so and they were actually pretty loud.

I wasn't trying to troll, but if you want to go ahead and remove it, fine. It's your forum to moderate, not mine. It's stuff he needs to read/hear but either way, whatever.

That being said, I'm OK with trying to solve this, without using this forum as stomping grounds. Nitrous, if you want to be mature about this, without shouting (I'm emphasizing this for a reason), then we'll figure this out.
