Granted it had magical composite input jacks but still.
Actually, yes. Rear projection tv screens are flat and they have been around since the 70's.
I'll just give up now
A lot of people improperly interchange Flat Panel with Flat Screen. As he said, flat screens have been around a long ass time, flat panels are fairly new.
Then I meant flat-panel. Back in the PS2/XBOX/GC generation my rich friend had a big flat-screen, probably rear projection. It was ugly and bulky and the quality wasn't really any better, but it was BIG. Since I was playing games (even in the tail-end of the N64 era) before flat-panels became cheap and commonplace I like to associate those systems (N64, GC, and anything older) with those old TVs. Which is why I made the comment.

Karth's Massive Europe Post
Pictures from Prague and other such places! A couple pics to get the idea of what Prague looks like: Wenceslas Square facing the National Muzeum and vice versa More buildings of Wenceslas Square Charles Bridge and river Another bridge with hundreds to locks attached to it. Couples would get a lock with two keys, lock it to the bridge, and toss the keys into the river below. The lock symbolized their love; they would never need to unlock it. The John Lennon Wall This guy was playing classic Beatles tunes. Very nice singer. Full Prague album here (173 images) We visited the Prague castle next, most impressive was the cathedral. Words can't describe how beautiful the light was coming in. I tried my best to capture it. There was a beautiful overview of the city from the exit. The whole Prague Castle album is here. (179 images) We also visited the destroyed town of Lidice. You can read about its history here. Over 700 people used to live here. Memorial to all children who were killed in the gas chambers during WW2. We also happened upon a kitten while we were walking. He liked me. Full Lidice album here. (58 images) This getting really big, so the last pictures I'll post are from the Czech town of Cesky Krumlov. Full Cesky Krumlov album here. (20 images) I also have other albums! Check them out if you're up for it. Berlin, Germany. (56 images) Karlstejn Castle and castle town. (43 images) Vienna, Austria. Not many pictures of the actual city, unfortunately. (74 images) |
