Does Wesley get in the vent?  Also is it just me or does there seem to be more and more people playing all the time.  The battles lately have been epic, and I saw the most planes ever in one place at a time last night.

We need to hook up with whoever put all those birds in the air it seems like they play like us - "fuck it we are going to mosquito spam them"

Were they friendly or enemy? Because TRx (an oldschool TR outfit) deploys almost exclusively by Mosq, they'll have 10-20 of them bail on a base at once.

Also, there was the wars between RPS, dtoid(?) and the escapist, I think thats still going on but I'm not sure.

[/quote]It was going on primarily back in January/February, although there may be some resurgence this summer, I dunno. Also, it was BoingBoing, not dtoid, that was my bad for not remembering properly.

Well i'm probably rolling falcon again, because i've been getting used to the gun.  Sparrow is nice to lock on, but trying to hit non-lockable guys is like rolling a die and hoping for the best.

Funny story.

here i was, about to leave soon anyways, but we were in the middle of a base raid.

People were yelling at me, people were telling me what to do, and caff was so infuriated that i couldn't pull an AMS for him that i was afraid that he may never speak to me again.

I was a second before pulling it all together, gathering strength from my inner chi, and busting some fucking ass (beacuse i am prone to this from time to time).

Mid seconds before i completed this awe inspiring commando raid, the power in the enitre psychology building went out.

It seems that the band that was playing for a crowd of citizens in the streets but two blocks away (squirrel nut zippers if anyone remembers the late 90's) overloaded some fuse and the entire block of university buildings lost power.

This is fine for, let's say, the adjacent physics and math buildings, but as soon as the power went out in the psych building, the vents in the animal labs stopped working and the freezers containing brains and other unsavory specimens started to thaw.

That's right ladies and gentlemen, the squirrel nut zippers are responsible for almost killing all of our animals and ruining 400,000 dollars worth of materials, time, animals, and data.

Thankfully, two hours later (maybe an hour before some rats and monkeys died of heat exhaustion), they pulled a generator in to start the show back up that had a side consequence of powering the labs again, so the only thing ruined was the base raid.  I'm sorry.

That's funny, Ianjustian. I still like that one SNZ album that got airplay. I hope you took the opportunity to take a nice midsaggital plane and put in on bread with some mayo.....yum!

Nah, no animals, specimens, or research was damaged.  But it could have been.  Can't believe that no one had a contingency plan for this beyond "one grad student calls another grad student and hope the power comes on before irreversible loss"
