I take back what i said.  I think i was sold me the wrong processor.

Trying to get to the bottom of why i was having so many problems with my computer i download CPUz to get a good look at the settings, and it seems i have a pentium 4 520 instead of the D 805.  I think it's power need is what's causing so much instability since it's running at default settings and cooking up to 50 celsius.

also, not that i know much about this stuff, but it's running at 200 bus speed, and the ram at 400 (and i think those corsairs i have should be running at 1066?)

Not that it's a big deal (though it does solve the big mystery of why 64bit windows wouldn't install), but i was wondering if that might have been the cause of all my computer problems over the last however months?

this'll work in the mobo right? and have better compatibility with the ddr2 1066?  It'll certainly run smoother and cooler.

The 200 bus speed is QDR, multiply it by 4, 800MHz FSB. which is what the CPU you linked is supposed to run at, 50C isn't that hot, it's only ~120F
