Blue Ver - Rework Time

How about maybe getting a new box with lower ping? I kind of figure that's the reason we don't get much players on it anyways... the ping just sucks for everyone. Dallas is a shitty location. Obviously this whole "middle ground" theory crap is garbage, since it's hardly used.

Personally, I'd like to see an East Coast server (with lower ping than Red for me). We'd probably get a nice bunch of people too.

I'm not sure what everyone else view on customs+no crits is, but usually when i play customs im just dicking around so crits dont matter really
if it was nocrits+customs, i probably wouldn't play it tbh, i'd much rather play a vanilla nocrits or a customs with crits.

I'd lean towards the same thing, vanilla nocrits for srs. customs+crits for fuckaround.  But would people even populate a customs server?

I'd go with something like this:
Red (if I assume correctly this is the primary):
Nocrits
On Rotation - "stock" maps so it can more easily fill or stay filled when needed.
Voteable - "trimmed" collection of maps to include current favorites and alltime supergood ones. If its busy and people want to go to cashworks, it'll be there to vote on, but wont get lost in piles of other maps.  People like them, getting people to go there shouldn't be that big of a deal.

Crits
On rotation: - Customs you'd really like to see played more often....Cashworks and Snowdrift and stuff known to be solid, maybe a couple stocks.
Voteable - here's where all the trimmings go.

Delete all arena maps.  


No one really digs the nocrits though.  Is it intimidating or something?  I don't understand it.

it's viewed as a tournament-only player thing, lots of people wont join servers cause they're no crit and some people see that as meaning SRS BUSINESS NO FUN ALLOWD
also the crits in my opinion can help newer players have fun.

To be clear, Red is not being changed, so please, focus on blue


This is what we've tried (unsuccessfully) on Blue to have it build a player base
- 24/7 Dustbowl
- Stock Only
- "Silly Customs" Only (ie. wacky races)
- No Crits
- West Coast (LA)
- Limited Stock Selection (ie Badwater/Goldrush/Dustbowl)
- Instant Spawn




I've generally come to the following conclusion, our own community won't even touch a server unless there's customs. We've had almost exactly the situation Puck put forward, just with Blue being the stock server.

Though moving the server to another location might be better...just as a note, I only have so many "lifetime" moves, I think I have 2 more remaining. Technically I can always cancel and start a new sub at a new location, just a pain to move all the stuff
