I fucking HATED milk in bags.
It was only available in our area for a short time, because EVERY time you bought it it would be bad. EVERY SINGLE TIME it would already have gone off. Also I always lol'd at the people who called it pop, but its just a personal choice I guess. I wonder if its regional? |

That map also proves that the parishes (county's bleh) in Texas are retardedly small and grid based.
Also: Pop is a really odd term to refer to soft drinks as. As it has no association (in this day and age) with the actual soft drinks. I could see it being that way in the 1950's maybe when people referred to it as Soda-pop, but I would of thought that terminology would be long dead by now .Â
ive seen an american map with what people call drinks on it to google! -edit-
Surf's random fact of the day: I'm late to this party but when I was in Business school one of our professors was telling us that they'd hire people, usually recent grads, to drive around the country and stop off at restaurants selling pepsi products and ask for a coke. If they don't say "we carry pepsi products" they make a note and send it in to corporate. This is because you can lose your trademark if it can be shown that your product name has become the common term for referring to products of that type. Like RollerBlades, Band-Aids, Dumpsters, etc. Those are all brand names believe it or not. In the case of grads they'd offer them as a sort of proving ground or hazing before giving them a real job. |

The South calls it Coke because all the Coke bottling companies are based down here.
The ironic thing..JSU rid it's contract with Coke and made a new one with Pepsi. So now JSU is exclusively Pepsi. To put that in perspective for those not in the know..Jacksonville is a college in west Alabama... Pisses me off though because we lost Orange Fanta..and gained both Sierra Mist and Mountain Dew...I want my damn Orange Fanta.
