The "Fuck my life" thread

Not much of an FML compared to everyone else's serious problems... but I JUST realized that the extension the neighbour is putting on his house will block ALL sunlight from my prime gardening space, in which I finally managed to grow a hardy lavender. It will now have to be moved and, as a result, will most likely die or not flower for an entire other year. ALL the money I spent on plants specifically for that space has been fucking WASTED.

I also realized that this means there will never be direct sunlight in the bathroom again... I am equally upset about that. It was one of the things I loved most about the house; no more sunshine in the shower I guess.

Also, how can I initiate a slide at super-low speeds? I want to be able to: A, slide into my driveway sideways and B, do a 180* turn in my driveway in one motion :p.

I can totally relate.  I used to take two 1-gram pills at once and would have to sit there drinking water for like 20 minutes to get them down... This is after I swallow them btw.

Also, today on the 2-hr bus ride to Bangor, ME, I took an antibiotic on an empty-ish stomach and puked up everything I ate after that to try to stop the nausea. Thank god I had brought the pill in a plastic bag, which was subsequently empty, and then subsequently full. But at least our robotics team is going to disney world...

Talk to anyone. Be confident, talk with a volume that demands attention.  Make remarks about anything to anyone.

Before I came to university, I saw drinking as a waste of money, but my Dad gave me a simple little tidbit of advice, "There's nothing wrong with a social drink." I took it to heart, and I'm currently at the height of popularity in my lifetime.

You'd pretty much have to cover your driveway, approach and street with ice, or possibly gravel. You need to be able to break rear grip which is a little difficult without loads of power or speed; try flicking the weight and/or using the handbrake. Doing a 180 is pretty hard without a good LSD.

I know a guy who can do it with a '96 Legacy sedan (2.2L) in snow. If he can do it, I should be able to too :p. Driveway is pretty icy today... Unfortunately, so are the snowbanks...
