I'm not sure this really belongs here. I had my oral arguments last night and I did really well. The problem is the guy I was going "against" (not really competitive) was that guy that I'm sure everyone knows one of. The golden boy who does everything amazing without putting any effort into it. I worked pretty hard on it, but in the end I became an "and you." "You did really great, and you." Our TA said we were the best the whole night but I didn't get the best grade for my side that night, someone that went earlier did. And the guy I went against got one of the judges business cards (the judges were real judges and one attorney).
I just put a lot into it, and I wanted it to help my grade. And I really don't think the other guy put any effort into it at all. He did shitty in practices, and honestly I didn't know what was so great about his during finals. He just had a great speaking voice and was really confident. It's kind of been putting me in a bad mood because I built up a lot of expectation around this, I worked really hard, and I don't even know where I'm at. ![]() |

Think of it this way, once you graduate, you both will be equal in the eyes of the law: Ambulance chasers. |

You earned that. You worked hard, and you kicked ass. Take pride in that. Grades don't mean shit when you're looking for your second job. |

so yeah, if your rifle isn't seated properly in your shoulder, when you fire, that ACOG is gonna bust you in the nose. A lesson I apparently needed a refresher in today.Â

Today has hated me. Woke up at 8:30 when I had a lab practical at 9, even though I had alarms set for 7 and 7:30 (they apparently never triggered). Therefore I had little to no time to actually study for this shit (that's the whole reason I was waking up at 7- to study). And then the lab practical molested me. So fuck today, right now I'm just going to sit back and munch on some delicious granola.
EDIT- It turns out the turkey burger I had yesterday was most likely undercooked, as I spent about 2 hours in the bathroom. God damn it. |

Get home, go to scratch an itch on the back of my thigh, instead of itch, find out it was probably at one point a really ingrown hair, now it's just an infected hole in my leg wtf.
Grab rubbing alcohol, butterfly knife (really sharp tip), band-aid and q-tips and get to work. 5 minutes later, I have a nice clean hole in the back of my leg the size of a large fucking pencil eraser. FFFFffffffffuck this hurts. |

Deposit equipment in there for when you are inevitably killed and reanimated without your memories. |
