My day started at 0200.  It's been a long day.  I'm not tired because some much shit has happened today I can't really stop. 

Two of my guys got thrown under the bus in an epic manner today, and I can't do a damn thing to help them because they practically did it to themselves, in a manner highly visible to lots of oak leaves.

I was having some intestinal trouble right around dinner.  I was in a part of the FOB I'm not normally at, so i went searching for a portajon.  It was like fucking quest for fire to find one that was somewhat clean... and then find toilet paper in another one.  So I'm taking a shit and.. *BEEEEEEMB BEEEEEEEMB INCOMING INCOMING* and I have a short moment there where I'm thinking "this is the area these rounds normally hit.  Fuck it, there is no way I'm coming out of this thing half dress from shitting.  If I die, it was my time."  *SHHRWWWWWWBOOOOM*  It hit closer than I would have liked for being in a portajon but it didn't hit me, I laughed afterward. 

So I completed my task, and went about finding a bunker... the nearest one I found was the one for the medical unit here.  They were talking about how they were "happy Ramadan was coming up, so there wouldn't be as much action."  The random LT at the end of the bunker (me) burst into laughter. 

This was not the first or last time we had incoming today either.

It works just fine, except for the click of death the hard drive is giving off on power-on and the fact 2 PC's and 1 Mac all report a broken USB device when plugged in. iTunes won't even acknowledge there's an iPod attached to the system, on both a PC and Mac. My blackbuntu laptop is even wtf'ing at it when I plug it in.

I remember when my brother woke me up in the middle of the night saying my iPod was beeping (where it was plugged into an Apple wall charger). It was overheating and constantly rebooting. Thank god for my grub menu having a beep, otherwise it would have (literally) burnt through the table it was on.
