I rarely hit above 10k.Â Stuff that high is pretty rare unless your maybe a hardcore medic.Â I'll usually do around 1.5 to 2k or so on a good game and then slap on another 3 or 4k of medals and things like that.

Also they need to give a medal for helicopter kills...using the helicopter itself.Â Our attack team only had 5 deaths left to them so I made a final rush with the transport chopper by myself.Â It was on that one jungle map with the lighthouse and we got held on the first crates.Â Well there's that little hill behind B there and I took a nose dive and totally plastered someone across the windshield, jumped out before it exploded, rushed to B, killed two more people, and then died just as I started to arm it.Â I think it had to be my most valiant last rush before the game ended lol

Had a good night sniping tonight, learning each rifle's points.

It's fun in a game, being able to take one rifle and aim at spot X to get a domeshot, but another rifle, spot X will net you a lolmiss.

So my observations: Don't let me find you flying a choppa with my GOL.

Screenies look like shit because fraps was giving me corrupted jpgs =(

i got a 12 kill streak and destroyed an objective by myself with the 870 pump shotgun with magnum ammo. 8 shotgun kills, 2 M1911 kills, 2 knife kills. getraped

I've noticed a few shots that I should have gotten one hit kills on with the GOL that weren't because of it's decreased power vs the M24, but the accuracy tradeoff is insane, after I found it's sweet spot I just can't stop using it.

About how far above do you have to aim? I generally aim for the crown of people's heads.

Exactly there, or just a hair or two above, but rarely ever even half the amount of up-aim needed with M24

I'm chillin under a 1337 sniper tree, and I notice this Humvee going full speed (sideways to me) loaded up with a buncha dudes making for the back entry of our base, and I just so happen to have my GOL with me.

Get used to it, none of the other rifles are anywhere near it.

Also; M95 is not so awesome. ~700 g chunk of lead with ~13k ft-lbs of force that can seperate a human into two peices @ a mile in RL, can't drop a dude in BC2 with a dead on upper chest shot @ ~200m

But it CAN drop a UAV in one hit, go figure.

As BRB.U's resident gun guy, i have to take issue with the .50bmg can split a guy in two comment. That is a myth.

But the lack of damage that the sniper rifles do in game is atrocious. Call it a pet peeve but I think it the trade-off in any FPS with sniper rifles is that they should be one shot kill guns. You've sacrificed any short range firepower outside of a knife or pistol. You shouldn't have to 2 shot someone to drop them. It makes being a sniper almost entirely useless.

sniper is far from useless, they do enough damage where if an enemy was even tickled with an smg 1 shot from the more powerful rifles will kill them. Being able to be 1-shot by a sniper from full health would just be rage-inducing levels of frustrating against anyone but the most pants-on-head retarded snipers. if you're hitting a lot of shots but not following up on the kills learn to pick your shots (if neither you nor your teammates can finish a kill off, all you're doing is wasting ammo and giving away your position). try taking up a position where you can actually support your team with sniper fire instead of just killing random dudes from a mile away while accomplishing next to nothing.

I know my fair share. It depends on the weapon you are shooting the .50 from and gravity. It won't rip you in half, but it will make a large hole. I mean hell it can shoot straight through a few feet of cinderblock with no problem.

Also agree with lack of damage, but it comes with the game..like Duck said..if all sniper shots were one hit kills..all the fucking nubs would be all over it..it's bad enough with the fucking 40mm grenade launchers..geez I thought it was bad in Socom..
