I feel terrible for anyone who plays Spy. They really should do something to balance out "spy checks" before the servers get flooded with trigger-happy Pyros.

They can already cloak themselves and go into a disguise; on top of that they have 1 stab kills from the side or back, what cloaked spy can't kill someone (especially one zoomed in)? what more do they need?

You've got a good point. And come to think of it, I can't think of any way to balance it out that wouldn't under-power Pyros. Still, those cloaks and disguises are going to be pretty useless when 3/4 of a team are made up of Pyros. And you KNOW one of the achievements is going to involve killing as many hidden Spys as possible.

No fair way to solve that, I guess. But it'll be fun to watch.

Zoso doesnt like an enemy he can't headshot, nor does he like that he might have to you know...have friendlies around to cover him

I'd love the idea of incendiary rounds for sure, and you know the napalm rockets are coming. Napalm specifically, because it can and would turn the pyro into a defensive class that can cover chokes instead of corners.

Zoso is probably still pissed they took away the teleporter afterglow for spies.  Now he can no longer play shoot the stupid newb cloaked spy and laugh at his expense.  Ahhh that was a fun game.

Paranoia - Lite X Cloaked spies on fire

Just Checking..... - Puff X teammates with your flamethrower

Engineer's Best Friend - Kill X Spies within Y feet of a sentry gun or after they have attached a sapper

So Close Yet So Far (Credit Tacos?) - have an enemy die of burn damage ontop of a health pack

Firestarter - Kill X enemies with burn damage

My Flesh..IT BURNS!! - Kill X heavies

Ineffective Shield - Kill an engineer through his sentry gun with flames

Ax Man - Kill X people with the fireax

Flame Retardant - Kill X pyros with your flame thrower

Bubble Blower - kill X people underwater

1 - 2 Punch - Kill X people that are on fire with the shotgun

Sure, but is it that hard to have a person with the same name see a different one? For example, A disguised spy that looks like "Ainmosni" to everyone on your team, but "ErraticFerret" to you?

It's a silly nitpick, but with all the ways to pick out a spy, that seems like a needlessly easy one.

I suppose this is the, "Autopsy Report" of the pyro achievments.

This is a good update for my burninating activities. But why is Pyro such an underplayed class anyways?

Pyro is non-existent in league play, and very situational, it was a joke class in all previous TF iterations.

It sorta has found its niche in TF2, but not entirely. If players are smart you don't even need them for spy checking. Id imagine that in terms of minutes played, Pyro or Spy was last next to medic.

Because Pyro is the class that can be killed by just about everyone. It's really hard to master.
They don't have good long range, their health is pretty small, anyone can have a pretty decent shot at them.

but isn't it satisfying to watch that burning body fall off the ledge?

Pyro is underplayed because people to to stupid to figure out how you're meant to play them, its like the scout in that its not a head on attack class, you can't just run at the enemy and hope to achieve anything, you atack from a unknown angle then run off again, you attack fromt he other direction after the eemy charges after you, you have to get close to do decent damage, you play the pyro well, you can completely stop a whole team advancing with the epic AOE of the flames, its a hit and run class, and people are to fucking stupid to understand that.
