Psssh. Maybe for some of the OLD, OUTDATED models bro. As for me, in between my hydromatic flanger recalibrations, and having to qualm my Penenzar every few weeks, I'm loaded with repair work.

Achievement unlocked: pull an all-nighter to fix the car for a 9am start time.
It's also 40 F outside and raining with a 30-50MPH wind.


I am all the wet.

So I am still awake, it's almost 2am est on Sunday. I've been up since 8am Friday.

After a full day of nothing but standing in the blistering rain during our service, we managed to bend three wheels (all repairable with a hammer) and then bent a fender into a wheel, also hammer duty.

When driving back to our hotel, at three am after the first day of races, we lost steering of our car. We made it back to the hotel and drove in through the outdoor of a neighbouring automatic car wash. We lost a control arm bolt. We were able to rig up a replacement two hours before the start time for the next day. No sleep, at all.

During the next day, we bent another three rims and rolled the car, blowing out the windshield and rear passenger corner.
Within the thirty-minute service, we were able to source a spare windshield from another competitor and literary had everyone there bring a roll duct tape to help us tape it in. It was insane.

It is now 42 hours later, and I am just now getting into bed.

EDIT: Oh yeah, 45 cars started on Friday morning. 17 cars made it to finish, we were no 16, despite rolling into a stream after hitting a three foot jump that was marked as a 'bump' in the route notes....

Danica Patrick was saying that drivers were getting way too aggressive way too quickly. The crash happened only 12 laps into the race. She was saying that the track wasn't really well suited to the speeds they were going.
