i had problems almost nightly falling asleep at my "regular" time. it's hard to not fall asleep when your body is spent.

Tested that last night, definitely did not work. I think I'll buy one of those travel eye cover things because roommate seems to have switched his sleep schedule to going to sleep at 9-10PM, then sleeping for 4-5 hours, then waking up and turning on his desklamp and having a meal at 2-3AM at which point I wake up and can't get back to sleep for at least an hour and want to kill everyone and everything and tear my eyes and brain out.

I do not feel very happy in general.

One stressful, busy, cramped, fucking retarded week filled with pointless shit left in the quarter and then a week of finals before break.

Sturdy transmissions break after the warranty is long gone... at least the Ford crapped out while still under warranty. Hopefully the replacement lasts longer.

Already applied to uiuc and Michigan tech. Doing IIT, UW-madison, UT-austin, Georgia tech, and MIT. Really the only worry one is MIT. Sure they are holistic about things and my GPA and scores are high enough that I don't get autopruned, but I still need my subject testing done and I'm doing that in January so I probably don't have the time to do other retakes.

Went to the computer lab to finish up projects today. They were essentially done anyways, all I had to do is render them twice each. One with Apple Pro Res and one with H.264. After that, assemble them into DVD Studio and make a DVD. Easy, right? Well, I didn't anticipate the H.264 renders to take about 20 minutes each, forcing me to stop it because the lab was closing. So I go to the IT lab, where there are other computers with AVID installed, and I hit a few snags:
1. These computers don't have the Apple Pro Res codec
2. The renders for H.264 are taking at least twice as long.
3. No DVD Studio
4. The lab closes in a half hour

Edit: There's a shred of hope though. One of the computer labs are open from 9 until 12:30 tomorrow morning. Only issue is that I have a math test at 10:30...
