My grandmother got diagnosed with terminal cancer today, i'm in shock and i'm not brave enough to call her.

I call her once a week to know how she is, and have lunch with her once a month, where we share stories... and now i can't force myself to call her and ask her how she feels...

Dear Lord, Pickup the phone.  You'll probably make the poor woman feel better by telling her how you feel.  She's probably worrying more about her children and grandchildren than she is about herself.

Reinstalled New Vegas to play through with a bunch of mods, started, it freezes and I have to force shutdown my computer each time. (I can end the process but then my desktop freaks out and monitor will no longer detect picture until I restart forcefully) making it a real pain to figure out which mod is causing the problem or if its just the game causing it. Delete game from Steam, try to reinstall. "Steam servers are too busy." Obviously not busy enough for every other game I own. :|

So one cat jumps up at my new 51" Plasma screen, no damage done, but it's a behavior i want to discourage.  So, I shut him in the bathroom with the sliding door.  Well, THE OTHER cat, sits there and busts the first one out of jail.  They both come into the living room and sit in front of me like, "what? bitch.".  I lock him in again.  Same result, but even faster. 

They're winning, my cats are beating me at life.

solution: lock them BOTH in there.

alternately, get a spray bottle, spike it with lemon juice. They really don't like that. I had one of mine trained to be afraid of a Nerf gun, and the other afraid of a squirt bottle (because he refused to be afraid of the nerf darts, he loved chasing them even if he got hit in the process, crazy fucking cat)
