I don't think its near as intrusive as its made out to be, there are some people who would do nothing but spam talk about and post about ponies, but that's true of a lot of different things.
If you're gonna have a spray you're gonna spray whatever you want, and there are a lot of sprays worse than ponies which people will try to shove down your throat more aggressively. Personally I started liking the show because I got to know a lot of the people with pony avatars and sprays, and they all seemed to be pretty cool people, and mostly kept it to themselves. Joined a MLP dedicated server expecting everyone to be really weird but instead everyone was just really polite and awesome. If you got a nice kill on someone, they didn't flip out and try to demean your skill by picking apart the way you killed them, screaming "that was a face stab goddammit" or "man that was a really lucky shot for you to have killed me like that" (insinuating a person cannot trick them into exposing their back or assume they will stupidly take a predictable route thinking being in 30 feet of a sniper = he can't aim anymore because of the tooth fairy) they said "hey nice stab man" or "wow nice shot." other than that, gameplay was pretty normal, everyone was having fun and talking about things people would talk about in TF2, like the spy behind them, or the 3 scouts on E. Outside of those servers, 99% of the people I run into who like the show, or even have an avatar about it are much more likely to be confronted by some guy who wants to tell them about it, not the other way around.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe I display any sort of negativity toward ponies or friendship or anything else of that sort today or any time in the past. And AMC, I think you've missed the point completely. |

Really, if you aren't gonna post on topic, don't post.
