This was at 200 yards, no scope, target was loose in a 20mph wind, with a 70 year old rifle. Today was a decent day.

Got my new camera, a Nikon L820, today. Wish I had it at youmacon, but holy crap I haven't had a flash this good since the 90s. (insert bad adobe joke here)

I'd recommend avoiding on-camera flash unless it is absolutely necessary. The reason is a lot of our depth perception in a 2d image comes from shadows. On camera flash completely destroys shadows because its not offset from the camera at all. Think of on-camera flash as like a photo life preserver - only use it if your photo will die without it.

Got my new CPU cooler. Temps are down all across the board and I have better airflow to boot considering the heatsink fan is pointed directly at the fan that blows the hot air out of the case. Big Grin
