Been dealing with too much drama lately. Stuff at home regarding my future, stuff at college regarding a friend that didn't enjoy herself at ACEN (and who has been sending me angry messages every day since). Sickness, crappy weather, and the prospect of moving from campus and starting med school. I feel like I'm underwater, like even moving takes all of my determination. I feel like a skyscraper that's had too many supports demolished, and that the high I've had since ACEN is going to come crashing down, or already is.

Don't mean to harsh anyone's mellow by posting this. But I can't really express this to my irl friends. Maybe I'm more comfortable sharing personal baggage with you guys.

Haha, interestingly enough her first complaint was that I kept pushing her to drink . Games sound good though, let's do it up tonight.

[/quote]People gotta learn, you've got to be self-sufficient if you want to have fun at a con, or life in general. If you're relying on someone else to show you how to have fun, you're going to have a bad time. Especially if you don't follow that person's advice.

But yes, sounds like post-con depression. Welcome to the blowback of having that many happy feel chemicals running through your system, it means you did it right.

I'd like in on this, life's gotten somewhat rough for me as well in the post couple days and I need an escape. No drinking for me, though. ACEN confirmed my suspicions that I'm a quiet drunk.

I dunno man I don't think it was ACEN particularly, although I certainly enjoyed myself there. I think it was the fact that I'm finally registered for college classes and am therefore working towards something in my life. Cause I totally understand why I was depressed. I don't really have much as far as friends go. Second shift kinda separates me from the people I hang out with. But ever since like mid-April that hasn't mattered.

Whatever it is, I feel great and I just don't want it to go away.

This conversation is complex but for whoever's got those post-con blues I feel ya.  I had em after Katsu where people recognized Problem Sleuth and went nuts wanting pictures.  Even a con photographer asked to take some of me.  After it's like... welp.  Just me again.

In other news, this past weekend was the College Ultimate Frisbee Championships and Madison hosted it this year. I was on my feet every day Fri-Mon from 8am to 10pm whilst starting intensely at the backs of the players. It's not gentle on the lower back.
Also boo Generic for not coming to the tournament, boooo. And for ordering a chicken pot pie at the Dane.
