Two years ago today, my dad died. I'm doing much better with that than I did last year, but it still sucks.

Kinda sick of the text dating shit I have to deal with more and more if I am trying to find a girlfriend.  Getting annoying and seeming less and less worth my time.  Do I wanna get my dick wet?  Yes.  Do I want to but a hooker/escort"? No!  I thought I had patience but I clearly dont, or rather I simply hate how long it takes for anything to happen when dealing with text based dating.  Its buuuuuullllllllshit.

As in they dont want to call, they would rather text, and it sucks because it never works out then.  I plan shit, and then nothing happens because they want to "talk" through texting.  You can barely fit emotion in a text based message, but even then it comes down to how your reader interprets it.  You could type  down something and your only real emotions you can get down are in the extremes.  It is really annoying.

Thats what I figure.  I just prefer face to face because its more personal and I can better express emotion when I speak and not sound like a stickler or something.

[/quote]^also their choice of program will tell you a lot about them as a person. If they want to use MSN or Yahoo Instant Messenger, run screaming. AIM has been hit-or-miss for me, one of the kinkiest/coolest people I've ever met online (and kinda regret not being able to date due to life circumstances) is still rocking an @aol.com address, but she's the exception - the other four that I've run into with @aol.com have all been batshit.

Its called vetting and weeding out, you can get enough of a 'lets not meet' vibe from someone just talking to them online. It also works both ways too

My rule is if a good friend bails out of plans I make 3 times, i stop bothering to invite them to my plans until they invite me to their own.
That rule goes down to 1 if it's someone I don't know very well. I understand shit happens but you can tell if someone's just going to keep dodging and at that point they're not worth your time.
