someone should explain to me how to set this shite up

1: download and extract lackey to c:\ (your root directory)
http://www.lackeyccg.com/LackeyCCGBetaWin.zip

2:main screen turn on.
there's a row of tabs across the top, one of which being preferences.. click
appearance tab > performance related preferences > set to high
Player profile > at least change your Player name so we know who you are

restart lackey

back to preferences tab
in the boxed area "select a plugin to download/install" theres a dropdown menu .. select magic.
click the high version button
click "install or update this plugin"

Kor's Edit for forgetful siblings: Restart Lackey after installing the plugin > Preference Tab > Plugin Tab > Browse Installed Plugins > Magic

this is where my memory gets little fuzzy regarding card art .. i think there's an check mark box to download them on an as needed basis .. ill need someone to clarify.


4: Deck editor tab
pretty self explanitory.. many filters on the left for finding cards
name the deck in the text entry field (white) near the top
save

5: playin games
server tab
find server and connect button .. click.
then you'll be in the lobby for the first time click "host a game.." button (underneath the list of game rooms open) just so the program can do a test on your network
i dont imagine you'll be playing against pubs, so whoever you're playing with could also make game.
once you're both in the same game go back to the Deck Editor tab and theres a button "load to you" between the index of cards and your card library click that one to get your game started.

6: game on  -- whoever you're playing aganst will be able to instruct you on how to get the rounds sorted out.. and the game really lets the rules and rule enforcement fall to the players.

we can draft on lackey using http://ccgdecks.com/ to draft then after the draft clicking the "import deck list" button. that gives you a text download file that can be copy pasted to lackey. I like to just throw my whole draft into the "deck", copy paste the whole thing to lackey and build there.

I would say we can do all sorts of formats so we don't get bored of one format; EDH, multiplayer free for all (standard, classic, or casual), 2 player (standard, classic, casual, etc). I think we should just follow the only brbu rule: "dont be a dick" that is if you build something broken that always wins fast and/or is un-interactive dont run it every time. The first time someone does some sort of broken stasis deck it might be novel but repeated gruesome encores of it will make me want to stab your face off.
