No heat. No hot water.
I feel like a pilgrim you guys. My fingers are getting stiff. But at least the landlord hooked us up with a couple of space heaters. I've had tonsillitis for the past two weeks (more like 20 days, but w/e) and I've gone through a 10 day antibiotic scrip. a few days after that it showed back up.
the hell is going on 'Meditation is supposedly the only way to Enlightenment because the only way to find this truth is through inner reflection - therefore, what you are finding to be the truth in your personal journey should ultimately be exactly what I find to be the truth, though all of our journeys are unique.'

My boss just bitched me out in an email that he hit reply all to. I think everyone is embarrassed right now but I doubt he knows.

Politely reply to him (and him alone) that you're disappointed to hear that your performance is not up to his standards but are glad that these concerns have been brought to your attention. Also state that you are eager to discuss ways to grow and improve in your position face to face. Fuck assholes who throw others under the bus behind their backs. |

I just counted the number of projects I'm actively working on. 22. I'm changing my business cards to "Project Whack-a-molement."

[/quote] It wasn't even that big of a deal he was just telling me how to solve a problem I didn't realize had a solution (I probably should have thought of it though). The way he did it though was kind of bullshit and made us both look like assholes. I really don't know what to think of my job right now. My boss is often awesome sometimes the opposite of awesome and he is retiring soon which means I need to start looking for a new job almost right after getting hired. This episode makes me realize this is probably a good thing. I'm getting way better experience than my peers because of the level of stuff he is asking me to do, the only problem is that while I think I do good work I'm still very inexperienced and so when I make a mistake it's often a very silly one. P.S. If anyone has any advice/suggestions for what to do next let me know. I'm leaning towards policy work, I don't know if I'm cut out to be a real lawyer. I just like high level stuff too much. I could also try for academia, but in that case I would probably need an in-between step. Although if I get at least two of my papers published I might be able to skip that.
