Dude that episode and the 5 leaf clover episodes were total mood killers when watching Futurama.  You don't expect to get depressed when watching Futurama but somehow it happens.  Way to remind me of that

I fucking cried during that episode. I guess it shows a more serious side to Groening.
I still love the Grasshopper/octopus Fry quote;

While on the subject of Futurama, I just would like to say Matt Groening is fucking brilliant. His references to culture, the scirences, and the arts is so amazing and so clever.

Agreed...I don't know if he felt threatened along the way or being afraid that people thought he was too low brow that he had to round out the characters more or something but him and his writers totally ruined the characters. 

Where Matt Groening+Billy West+the other writers of Futurama write magic there.  Granted Futurama hasn't been on the air half as long as Simpsons but there isn't an episode of Futurama that I don't like.  And even though I have my criticisms with the new episodes overall they are still golden.

Favorite Fry Quotes:  Full price for gum?! That dog won't hunt, Monsignor.  And "I'll take the Parrot, no the lizards....wait the parrot...the lizards, THE PARROT!

Thats one of the reasons I wouldn't use a laptop in a class anyways.  My fast typing doesn't equal delicate typing and it would make too much noise.  That and lappy keyboards suck.  My shorthand writing is the way to go?

It depends on the class if I will take notes or not.  Like psych and philosophy I find it a lot easier if I take notes otherwise I am drawing stick figures fighting to the death.
