lol "real depression" it doesnt exist. Just like your take on emo kids and attention... depression is all mental, there is no chemical imbalance, there is nothing wrong with these people.
lets ask the genius what his views on the subject are... watch between 5:09 and 5:55 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRS4X0Wcz...re=related |

LMFAO, so when you feel happy or sad, nothing happens in your brain, ya? It just happens?

doctors describe most depression as "chemical imbalances"Â its a joke.. stop trying to turn it around exanimo.
Of course most people are sad, they hate their lives, they are slaving for money and working jobs they fuckin hate.. instead of standing up for themselves they just take a pill which numbs them out so they can get through their miserable, dull day. Dave, i love you, but did you just say "comedian logic" in an exaggerated sense? George Carlin is a philosopher and a genius, whether he is a comedian or a painter.. it doesnt matter. He chose comedy because he felt it was the best way to get his points across, when describing things in a funny way people become "zen-like" and are more accepting of the truth. |

I use the term 'comedian logic' as a short way of saying 'anything they are saying on stage deliberatly to make people laugh', I realise people can be wise and funny, but I wont take their serious material along with them selling themselves on a stage.

I'm not disagreeing with what you said.
I'm just saying there are chemicals in your brain that make you feel certain things. |

"When he was a little boy, in New York City, in the 1940's, he swam in the Hudson River. And it was filled with raw sewerage! Okay? He swam in raw sewerage! You know, to cool off! And at that time, the big fear was polio. Thousands of kids died from polio every year, but you know something? In his neighborhood, no one ever got polio! No one! Ever! You know why? 'Cause he SWAM IN RAW SEWERAGE. It strengthened his immune system! The polio never had a prayer--he was tempered in raw SHIT!" _________ Now back to the thread already in progress |

@MrGrey
Heh, it's funny you say that because I'm certain he'd make the same joke. ^_^ Well... he'd make it with a much better delivery. I never said I was a comedian. Am I the only one who thought most of Carlins material was just stating the obvious? Regardless of that he was a very funny man...
