CP_Warpath2
PL_Goldrush CP_Stag CTF_Mach4 CP_Dustbowl PL_Norad(pending) CP_Freight CTF_Chaos CP_Steel PL_Badwater CP_Gravelpit CTF_Impact2 What's happening with the rotation is no 2 maps types are played consecutively. Obviously, we're waiting on Norad, so we'll have 2 CP's back-to-back, but Freight appears to be "custom" enough. 3 CTF's, 3PL's 6 CP's(due to being the most common type). I've attempted to thread the most popular maps into the lesser played maps to promote downloading, but also to have the opportunity to regain lost bodies the following map. All in all, I wanted to make sure that the maps were at least serviceable(from a popularity standpoint) but maintained a less than stock rotation. I'm not entirely happy with Impact2 in the rotation, I feel it's a little too hit and miss for retention, but finding a suitable CTF that isn't 2fort is apparently impossible. Additionally, I omitted Powercore/Geothermal/Map still in beta because of the process of re-dling every release is tiresome, even for committed regulars. Finally, the rotation is a culmination everything suggested, because the community must embrace the rotation before the greater populous can. Feedback is always appreciated, in the meantime I'll spin this on the server once I find the fucking rotation file. Let's get this rotation rolling, seed the server as much as possible! PL_Badwater - Payload CP_Gravelpit - 3 Point A/D CTF_Impact2 - Capture the Flag CTF - 3 Payload - 2 5 Point CP - 3 3 Point A/D - 1 A/D - 1 DOM - 0 Other -1 Just cause one team attacks and one defends does not make it the same game type, a 3 point map like Rosewell/Gravel Pit is a lot different from a Payload or a multi-stage attack/defend map like Dustbowl or Aqua  Sig by Joel |

Impact has a better flow, Turbine is just too small/boxy, and open to steamroll/spawncamping. @Caff: Please toss the new rotation on there, apparently I simply cannot connect with FTP, no idea why. Sooooo round limits for map change. Something we're ever going to consider? I've been on servers that use round and time limits as condition for map change.

[/quote] Yes, thank you for bringing up both of the reasons why there should be round limits Karth. If one team is rolling, you should go to a new map. If you have been on a map too long, you want a new map. RTV shouldn't have to be used because you've been on a map to long, it should really only have to come up if a lot of community players are on and want to play a non-rotation map. That's too often how RTV is used right now, and the server usually ends up dying as a result. I know there's stuff out there that lets you swap maps on total rounds played, consecutive rounds won by a team, and by a overall time all as concurrent conditions. Right now there its only based on time, is there any specific maps you'd want it on?

Well just as a general rule, something like best of 3 or 5 on 5 point CP's, best of 3 on CTF, and one turn for each side on PL/AD maps would be fine I think? Also somehow we ended up on CP_Well yesterday and it filled up the server pretty fast, so might not be a bad stock map to add in between some custom stuff somewhere, like if Norad ever goes on.

Rotation should be working as normal now, sourcemod changed something so I am required to have the end of map vote plugin on in order to have rtv on, I have now disabled the end of map voting.
Should Kor's rotation not work out, bringing it back would be a possibility for the future. I will also look into *MAP SPECIFIC* round limits, doing a specific map that's on rotation is easy, doing something more broad and generalized might require something different. Â Sig by Joel |

obviously attack/defend maps should have 1 attack one defense. otherwise they go on forever with the giant 30 minute timelimits on dbowl or goldrush
