I get blue screens or failure to boot if I change anything. The new chipset mobOs are not that much more and it is well worth the cash to lower bottleneck issues. I have different RAM than you. But since you said that you're having issues with that RAM and mobo combo, this RAM should work just fine. It was what I was initially going to stick into my comp when I was building it. However, something tells me that your problem is not a universal one, as most of the reviewers on newegg have the GSkill paired with that mobo, so I think you might've gotten unlucky. :-\ |

I'm on my phone so I haven't checked the RAM is it cl7 or cl9? The max timings I can get are 8. But in general that mobo has barely any g.skill supported. But I did some research on mobos recently when amd launched the new chipsets for mobos and honestly they have much higher throughput and RAM support for maybe $50 more. I've got 3 saved on my newegg account that I was looking at I can post them when I get home. But in the meantime you should check out tomshardware reviews of the new northbridge and southbridge chipsets.

The RAM I am using is cl8, but it's almost twice as expensive. :-X As far as mobos go, you'll have to help me to find alternatives to the one I posted. |

The other thing I found out from talking to g.skill tech support is that running 8 gigs on our mobo puts a lot of strain on it.
