Six inches of snow!  SIX INCHES!

I swear to god if people in states that dont get much snow have not learned how to drive in snow by now...
I have never driven in snow. I fear moving up north. Actually I don't because I have good common sense but I will be asking for tips at some point.
Basically drive slowly, don't tailgate unless you want to skid/rear end the person in front of you, and don't panic if you feel your car slipping on turns. I think people just drive too quickly when there is snow on the ground and end up in all these dumb accidents. I've seen so many cars in snow banks right after a turn lmao.
It sounds like it's like driving in torrential rain, which I do all the time, except potentially more slippery.
The most common thing people do when slipping on ice or snow (and it's wrong) is to attempt to brake... sometimes accelerate... do neither, let go of the gas, allow your wheels to slow naturally until traction is regained.

This is really good advice unless you have ABS. If you have ABS just slam on the breaks and the computer will do the work for you better than you could manually (in nearly all situations).

Actually this still applies for ABS regardless of conditions dry, wet, or snow. Some breaking ideas.
