FNF - 6/6/08 - Cameras are Rolling

One map for FNF tonight

cp_busytown - Sequel to one of the first customs, lazytown, and the title couldn't be more fitting, a ton more polish and other changes make the map much better. Make sure to download this one, as it is almost 50 megs unzipped.

Tonight during each round I would like someone to volunteer to play camera and sit out for that round/map. Demos will be passed around to the various movie makers and we'll put out a few montage/frag videos for promotional purposes. See this thread for more details.


To record a good demo, you need to be in spectator, the type 'record demoname' in console

To stop recording type 'stop' in console

And if people playing didn't mind recording, that would be swell too. You can also record your own voice into the demo with 'voice_loopback 1' though it sounds kinda funny. Sleep nao, nite folks!

edit: Threw cp_busytown onto #2 for rtv, so you folks can rtv to steel if you missed it, or busytown if you get locked out of #1. Cereals nao, goin' to bed.

I'd gladly record except for the fact that my graphics settings are really low. I don't know if that affects the demo or not but im pretty sure it does. Also im not sure if i'll be there. Might be hanging out with friends tonight.

the demo will just look like pewp on your machine, but if you send it to someone with a faceraping pc, it'll look good if they do all the converting and what not

The settings will only effect the FPS at which the demo is recorded, the person playing the demo back can turn all their settings to the max and will be able to view it at the same fps it was recorded at.

The graphics settings while you record don't make a difference, only when you are rendering the demo file to an image sequence.
