FNF - 9/18/09

Wanted to get this up as soon as possible, currently we're still trying to find an admin to fill in for this week, and if someone responds before tonight I'll edit this post with what they are going to do accordingly

If someone is not found, I will run an FNF for the first time in a while. If I'm running it we'll probably do a few pick-up games, a silly map or two, and I have another idea for something fun and hopefully somewhat unique that would sort of be a combo of highlander/rps/random-class. If it does come to pass that I end up having to run TF2, it means I will not be running Planetside.

FNF was indeed pretty fun. The reverse pick-up game--although it was really slow to pick teams--made for what I thought was a quite balanced game.


Although you should have taken the prize money and bought a new webcam gyughgh.

Alright guys, I hate to sound like I'm trying to rub salt in the wounds but I need some help deciding. Should I go for a few older/inde games (probably L4D, Zeno Clash, and Audiosurf) or for one newer, expensive game (probably Champions Online). If a go with the multiple games, I know everyone of those are quality titles and I might be able to run some of them on my laptop. If I go with Champions Online, I hear while the game can definitely be fun (I really enjoyed CoH, especially the character generator, when I used to play and CO is made by the same company), but from what I've read it is dealing with some of the usual newly released MMO issues like bugs and some of the powers being unbalanced or even self-gimping. Plus, I would have to haul my gaming PC to my apartment on campus as my laptop can't run it, although I'll probably do that at some point anyway seeing how trying to run TF2 either makes my laptop lock-up or blue screen.

Edit: Never mind, I think I've made up my mind. I should have probably thought a little more first before posting that.
