I think the regular demo is only available if you ordered the game, the 'public' demo is for everyone else

I do like the new additions to the game.  The variety of special zombies would mean I wouldn't be stuck with that annoying Hunter, I loved the melee weapons and though I know there are alternate pistols, the melee weapons are SOO much better than the regular pistols, especially the machete.  The AK47 kicks ass and so does the new auto sniper.  Didn't try the adrenaline boost, which seems to up speed, which seems pretty pointless outside of maybe running away from a Tank...Messed up with the boomer bile, which I thought I'd try to toss on the tank and make the rushing zombies attack him, but messed that up to see how well it works lol

The wandering witch is a nice touch which makes it abit more intimidating that you can't just skim by her, though it'll really depend on how well the AI director utilizes her, since in my playthrough, she was put off in a far corner I didn't need to go anywhere near.  The riot cop zombies are a great addition and actually take effort to take them out.  Almost wish they were playable for kicks lol

Lasting value...ummm...It does seem to have alot more to the game now and if the AI director is actually good, and maybe Scavenge mode is interesting or they'll be adding new game modes later on, I could see this game sticking alot more than the first one.  

Still not sure if I'll buy the game or not.  Kinda on the border if it'll be really worth the buy and will stick around like TF2 does for me.

I stand with my opinion. I find this to be Valve's biggest letdown game. Nothing in it is worth paying for, especially since you can get most of it, better at that, in the original.

Also, original survivors > new survivors

With this demo, the only thing good about about L4D are the characters.  That's it.  I think the AI is about the same, which is kinda lame since it was pretty bad before, but not to the point of unplayable and this game is more about co-op anyways.  But with the variety of new zombies, weapons, items, and a hopefully better AI director, there's not much L4D1 has to offer.

The game offers nothing new, aside from melee, and feels the same as L4D with worse guns. The original L4D is cheaper, with great writing, a great setting and mood, and better characters.

I am not paying full price for this game, or more likely, not paying at all.
