Update on my game crashing all the time:


I went to the steam forums and followed a few instructions to get it fixed.
Now I can't launch the game at all.

It's $30 at Gamestop if you want to try to go the store on Friday... ew.  But yeah... I still couldn't bother to buy it for $30.  I played the demo and was like... eh... didn't really feel like I wanted the game at all.

Another fact. Demo doesn't tell you crap about what the full games like. I was iffy on the demo too, but when the full game was released I was blown away.

Everyone I've talked to has told me the same thing: Glorified Expansion Pack. However, they did say they enjoy it thoroughly. I'll pick it up when it goes under 30 bucks.

Seeing that it has more than the original game, I'd call that more than an expansion pack, but to me there's no reason to go back to L4D1.  Everything is better in L4D2, aside from AI that is...The Hard Rain and Carnival campaigns alone kick more ass than any one in L4D1 lol

You haven't talked to half the people on BRBU? I must ask though, what is the difference between a sequel and a "glorified expansion pack"?

and again, from everyone I've talked to, nobody has said that 60 dollars is a good price tag. And again, again, from the demo, I just don't feel safe about the game. I'll buy it when it's half-off or less.

seriously why does this STILL need to be argued... you're taking something that is not based on opinion (cost is based on a marketing strategy and cost analysis) and making it your own opinion of  worth.  If its not worth it to you... don't buy it.

Fact is - look up the cost of any major game's expansion pack... they're not 20 bucks sorry... not for a few months any way.  AND very few "expansions" have almost double the content of the original... yes the gameplay is the same... but that's because everyone liked the way it played... why change a good thing?

If you want opinion or worth from people that played it - like you said "everyone i talked to said they enjoy it thoroughly" aka... it was worth full price.

Back to talking about the actual game....for those of you that have played versus, does it still seem completely random how special infected spawns are determined or does there seem to be some method to it...ie. here's a section where survivors normally corner camp, so your changes of getting a spitter are much higher.

still seems random... not that i pay too much attention, but there are definate times when I'm annoyed I have a spitter and some when I can't believe we havent gotten 1 in a few rounds of spawns.. 

especially nearing the end of a scav match... the spitter is huge in stopping them from just hurling the last few cans over the edge because it would make them explode, but alas... no spitter to be seen.

It's still more about teaming up and picking when to attack and moreso when NOT to attack...
