Keepin' It Full - Christmas Break Edition Contest Thread

This is the rules & entry thread for the new contest to run during the month of December.


How it Works:
- At least once per day on weekdays and twice per day on weekends I will check both servers for population
- If there are 30 or more people playing when I make a check (~15 per server), everyone in that server is granted a raffle ticket for the final drawing to take place on Christmas
- Checks are for the most part random, but in the previous contest I would bend my time a little bit if I saw the servers were just barely under the threshold
- All raffle tickets are retroactive, so if you get to this late but have been playing for a few weeks, everything still applies
- Any violation of general community rules could result in forfeiture of tickets


The Rules:
1) You must have a forum account and post a reply to this thread
2) Actively Play TF2 on both servers, oh and bring friends, its all about numbers
3) *new* Actively use the forums, there is no "post requirement", but if your only post in the last month is in this thread, don't expect to be getting any tickets


The purpose of this contest is to help develop a player base on the second server, and to encourage more forum participation, I see a lot of people still coming online and browsing, but not a lot of posting. So, take off your lurking cloaks and stay awhile, we don't bite.




A Few Tips:
- Add people to your friends list that you play with often, the more people on your friends list, the easier it is to get a game going

- To invite people hit shift+tab, then right click someones name and click 'Invite to Game', sometimes this option will not be available, if it is not, set your status to 'away' then 'online' this is a known bug in steam friends

- Seed the servers! Someone has to be first, if the map is something weird, feel free to type 'nominate' to find a map you like, and then 'rtv', having a large friends list and taking a little time to send out invites really helps with this. Just because the server is empty doesn't mean there aren't people that are ready/willing to play with you.
