i dont care if it is an expansion pack or what, i played the original l4d for maybe a month, im not paying 30-50 dollers for less than a month of semi casual play

Back to talking about the actual game....for those of you that have played versus, does it still seem completely random how special infected spawns are determined or does there seem to be some method to it...ie. here's a section where survivors normally corner camp, so your changes of getting a spitter are much higher.

still seems random... not that i pay too much attention, but there are definate times when I'm annoyed I have a spitter and some when I can't believe we havent gotten 1 in a few rounds of spawns.. 

especially nearing the end of a scav match... the spitter is huge in stopping them from just hurling the last few cans over the edge because it would make them explode, but alas... no spitter to be seen.

It's still more about teaming up and picking when to attack and moreso when NOT to attack...

fuck mgs4 shit, I don't care if it has the best gameplay of any MGS, there is not enough of it. L4D2 at least has more gameplay than that, I'd play it all day over MGS4, hell MGS4 is not the definitive PS3 experience anymore, Uncharted 2 and Demon's Souls trump it in every way possible. But this doesn't belong here, so I end it here.

Also, me and some friends played Realism Expert Hard Rain earlier. Holy fuck. Hardest thing in L4D ever. Made it to stage 2 then gave up. The tank and then the crescendo was just too much.

I finally got around to playing The Parish last night and though the level itself is pretty boring, I liked the gauntlet run of the finale.  Three of us made it on normal with the other incapped.  Got to the chopper, but somehow the achievements glitched and it gave me the campaign completion, but didn't give me the 3 minute rush achievement...Though the incapped player got it and the person right in front of me got it also though I know I was there in time.  Easy finale, but I liked the rush.

Dark Carnival is till the best finale out of either game, though Hard Rain is one of the best levels in L4D2.  Simple, but the area where you have to dodge witches, the weather effects, the level changing on the way back to take a different path, it's just awesome.

Yeah it's definitely one of the weaker campaigns.  It shows off the basics, but overall it's a rather unexciting level.  The one neat thing is later on towards the end where they the jets start flying over and explosions are going off, but the level itself is super straightforward and the other mid-finale is to just hide under the stairs (Though a versus play wouldn't be as easy) as a slow moving item moves to make a bridge.  I think they should've made that whole campaign a multi-gauntlet map, since it has the one gauntlet towards the beginning and the finale is a gauntlet.  One more to dodge explosions or something really exciting would've been a good way to seal the map once it ends.

Dead Center was my other least liked map, but it at least had variety to it's settings and the finale which is the basis of the scavenger mode.
