Crafting Recipe Spading Thread for Spaders

Crafted the Buff Banner last night. Crafting individual weapons seems mostly useless because you need to somehow have four extra weapons for a class you don't have all of the weapons for. I only managed it because I had three extra Equalizers, and that was probably only because the items server was glitching.

Also http://www.tf2items.com/crafting/blueprints.php has an easier-to-read list of all the blueprints. 81 weapons for a random hat is ridiculous.

The crafting system seems pretty rediculous so far.  You have to destroy so much to get something you are more than likely going to get after playing anyway.  The only useful thing is making class hats, which don't drop nearly as often.  The droprate for items in general is also pretty low (except for "Christmas," the first day of the update, which was buggy as Hell anyway).  It'd be great if there were actually some sort of blueprints of things that didn't randomly drop...and there might be...but oh yeah, this is Valve.

Also, why make Bill's hat a drop/craft?  defeat's the purpose of having it be part of the L4D2 preorder.

Crafted a "ye old baker boy" today (out of 3 refined metals - i sacrificed a few of my weapons to get the last metal).  I had planned on waiting for a 4th refined to craft a heavy hat, but i've only been finding 1 item every few days so I grew impatient.  Was hoping for a heavy, medic, or engy hat - but I'm certainly still pleased with the baker boy (thank god it wasn't a hatless hat!).
