Teams I want to see (official first tourny team organization thread)

What I really need right now is for everyone to meet with their teams and confirm everyone is good to go and that you have exactly 5 players who can play fridays an hour or two before FNF.

It is insanely important that we have 8 teams of exactly 5 people by the end of this weekend. We still have some unplaced people so me and caff have discussed offering our spots up if this became as popular as it has. So there is currently 3 spots available on a first come first serve basis, 1 on team OG, 1 on team canada, and 1 on team Genksoyo unless SWPM posts here or makes contact with anyone.

There will be more tournaments and more prizes, if this is successful we'd like to do them once a month. So if you can't make it this month don't worry there will be more opportunities (and next time we may expand it to 6v6).

Good news everyone! Besides reading that as farnsworth we have decided that due to interest we have expanded all team caps to exactly 6 players. Everyone can now be at ease.

As I said, no one has actually approached me yet. Send me a message or something. If this is how communication is working... we kinda suck. Not to sound like a dick or anything but really, it seems like it's assumed people know they are on a team and when what is going down. I need something more solid than that to commit to.

Is it 6v6 now or still 5v5 just with the ability to "tag out" a player each round?

Benito keeps trying to get you into Team Canada I think. It's going to have to be up to the teams to organize through PMs or something though because I can't think of any way to get everyone together. Maybe this Friday 30 min before FNF everyone should get into a tinychat room with their team name? Actually that is a pretty good idea.

This is what I'm trying to imply. People need to actually make contact. I need to know more than "join this team that might be playing sometime somewhere" before I commit.

I dunno if you are an old geezer but I think that if you went Rage, and I got At0m or Shadow to be an OG and K2 goes Raheem we'd have really good teams. Also Jeff, I'd want him but he'd have to pretend to be old. Or he can go Raheem.
