Basically there I was, soldiering it up on Dustbowl, stage 2-2. But I forgot I had my boots on (nobody I play with likes the boots, I like to rocket jump away from my team when I'm wearing them and jump back later, they kinda own). "It's not so bad," I say to myself, "I'm aliasing and nobody will recognize me, I won't have to be bothered by medics anyways." But too late, someone's slippery healbeam had already slithered it's way around me. I was trapped, like a dog on a leash. I had a master now. "Get over here schweinhund! Help me to be getting my uber up!" I did as I was told, reluctantly building uber for medic. "What is wrong with you soldier, why are you not able to perform as I've asked?"

"I'm sorry medic, I'm wearing gunboats," I whimpered, already fearing his response.

"Dummkopf! Vat are you vearing those stupid boots for? Zey are for Fräuleins!"

Medic was angry. Very angry. And even worse, I had more bad news.

"Medic..... I... I need more ammo. I used all my rockets trying to build uber [albeit most ineffectively]"

"DUMMKOPF!" he roared. He was not happy with me. "Raus, RAUS!" he bellowed, as he watched me jump away to get more ammo.

"C'mere sissy!" engy beckoned. He had been watching me the whole time, having a good time at my own expense. "I'm gonna beat you like a rented mule!" Engy was not happy that I was wasting his metal to build uber with gunboats. Not happy at all. Twenty rockets richer, I high-tailed it out of there. The jeers were too much, my team making it known that I was an idiot trying to build uber with the gunboats. "Soldier is not credit to team!"

Medic was calling again. "Idiot! Come over here. I promise I will heal you!" I was back again, slave to medic's master, doomed to build uber twenty damage at a time. "Can you feel ze Schadenfreude, Soldier? I healed ze man who will kill you! Dummkopf!" Mind numb from building uber, I realized too late what he meant by them. I felt a small prick in my side, as a spy tried to andystab my in the stomach. Once, twice, three times. "I'm going to die, to a fail-stabbing spy," I thought to myself. But no, the tf2 gods held me in great favor. Perhaps I was not bright, but I was at least kind of heart. The gunboated soldier, who tries to build uber. They saw the kindness in my submissive, soldier heart, and decided to deliver me from my plight. As I was building uber, a miracle happened. And just as Exodus says of The Burning Bush in chapter three, Isaiah wrote:

"The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned."

For before I was even able to turn around, a great light shone from the nozzle of Soldier's Rocket Launcher, and from it came a blinding light, and a furious roar. But it wasn't a roar at all, it was the voice of Gabe Newell, tf2 god himself, and it said:

"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee."

And right there, before I had even been able to turn around, as my life flashed before my eyes, Gabe struck with the wrath of god himself and delivered unto me a crit rocket of such power that I could do nothing but hold on for dear life as it detonated. Spy evaporated around me. Nothing was left of him but a pink mist. Right then and there I got down on my knees and prayed, and I thanked Gabe for his deliverance, and promised that his favor would not go unnoticed. I immediately returned to base, and just as the seven priests brought down the walls of Jericho, I too sounded my buff banner. And that is how Red team triumphed over Blu, on Dustbowl stage 2-2.
