I know my fair share. It depends on the weapon you are shooting the .50 from and gravity. It won't rip you in half, but it will make a large hole. I mean hell it can shoot straight through a few feet of cinderblock with no problem.

Also agree with lack of damage, but it comes with the game..like Duck said..if all sniper shots were one hit kills..all the fucking nubs would be all over it..it's bad enough with the fucking 40mm grenade launchers..geez I thought it was bad in Socom..

Yup.  MG3 isn't too bad.  Wide spread, super fast.  I really like the MG36 cause it comes with a built in red dot.  That and the M60 are my favorite.

Personally I prefer the M249 over the M60, much better at close range combat and if I want accuracy I'll go MG36.

I don't use sights for machine guns, I tried too but it didn't seem to help much.

high rate of fire was relative. M60's rate of fire is considerably lower than the other LMGs...anyway, i'll rape you all with my ACOG'd M60 ingame, should be proof enough.
