I found that, unless the offense is relatively aggressive, it will give a sniper a hard time...in the right hands.

Were any of the acheivements retroactive? I know with medic the game always recorded how much you healed, is that true for any of the pyro stuff?

I don't think this update makes the pyro unbalanced at all. Â It's exactly like the medic update, it sounded like it would unbalance things but it really doesn't seem like it does.
And the pyro really needed that air puff thing. Â Any serious player would tell you the pyro is a joke and unused in competitive play because he doesn't really fulfill any purpose that couldn't be done by the other classes better. Â And I'm saying this as someone who really likes the pyro. Â He was good at killing inexperienced players by the hordes but because all his weapons where short range and he had no counter for explosives he could be very ineffective against experienced players. This fixes that. Â A heavy, solly or good demoman can still counter the pyro pretty effectively especially if working with a demo. Â But now the pyro has a bit more of a chance. Â Also this is kind of cool because it now puts pyros and snipers in direct competition with each other. Â The extreme long range class is now the ideal counter for the pyro, and the pyro is now a good sneak up and kill class for the sniper. |

at least with the medic, all the 'new' weapons were just the original weapons with different effects. that still had an impact on the class but didn't unbalance the game at all.
now, giving a short-range based class a long-ranged weapon is pretty ghey in my books, what's next, a knife-launcher for the spy? hateit. |

It does ass all damage and it takes proaim ifyour target is moving, it sets you on fire for like 6 seconds and has a sniper speed reload, its not unbalanced. |
