I can submit a ticket asking about the load that's on the box as a whole and if it can be moved. Is there lag issues all the time or just after X people, or Y time of night?

Please give me as much detail as possible and I'll do my best to get things resolved.

I've yet to see any teleporting, unless you are referring to me last night diglett, but that's because I alt-tabbed like 3 times rly fast

I don't know much about servers and ping and all of that. I just know when there are issues. Tim said our TF2 server doesn't have the best hit detection, and Liquid said the same about sniping. I know for a fact I have been to several servers where ever knife counted, and accuracy on guns was better than tubing. It's become worse as well. I can see the blood come out when I knife, and it drives me crazy that it doesn't work.

Versus said another place (I don't remember the name) had better servers. I don't know, just a thought. It's not like we have a dedicated IP we are losing, nobody comes to our server.

It happens most everywhere when the players are maxed. That's a server software issue. But on ours it happens even with just 16 and progressively worse the larger our server gets. I think you need to send them a ticket saying that our server is under performing and it is messing up hit detection.

For the TF2 issue, thats FPS rate on the server, GS offers 2000, 1000, 500, and default. What we have is default, they do not offer 1000 or 2000 above 16 slots, a 500 for the same number of slots would cost double.

Also NFO has horrendous rates, if you want to pay for it, be my guest, but I can't pony up the money for it. GS quite frankly is cheap, an NFO TF2 server with "boosted" FPS is over $100/month.


A 32 man NFO BC2 server would be $75/month if you opted for boosted CPU priority, there is no FPS option like TF2. The server currently costs $40 a month.

I will submit a ticket tonight and try to get ahold of their support staff, they've usually been very good about responding to tickets.

blue + gold = $70, also cpu boost is pointless for public servers

also i forgot about yellow, but when are we going to use that for something other than an idle server?

I think the main problem is someone still has to shell out the $70 per month. We can't take money out of the gameservers server fund and I don't think me or caff can commit more money.

AI servers are cheaper than NFO and better imo, but still like 50-60 dollars.
