really not that ridiculous, i had about that many hours legit before i wiped my stats a couple months back, and now ive got over 3500 just from idling (and occasionally drunken DM). That's about how many hats I have had (burned like 6 in rebuilds). Wish I had saved my beards instead of making so much scrap metal out of them

So I finally got 3 Refined Metal, and crafted a random hat. Modest Pile of Hats... cool, for about 10 minutes. Urged on by Turtle, I decided to combine my hats with crazy motherfucking black magic and make a new hat. So I grabbed my beloved Glengarry Bonnet (rebuilt from my found Master's Yellow Belt and Trophy Belt) and my new hat, and recrafted them. What you are about to witness made me jizz myself:

My favorite Pyro hat (before the brain slug, but everyone has that now anyways)! FUCK YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!

PS: I also found a Soldier's Stash two days later. I fucking love TF2.

I've gone into many pubs and seen upwards of 4 pyros with brainslugs.
People crafted JUST to get them, I'd say.

I think that all the Pryo hats are overrated in my opinion now, because just about everybody is crafting their metal into Pryo hats.
BUT what i haven't seen is the new Engineer hat the Hotrod. Besides from seeing it ONCE on Dustbowl i have never seen it since.
Look no further folks the new sensation has arrived! After many failed attempts at making a decent hat (crafted 3 refined metal to get a bald Engie, 2 Camera Bears to get a Bald Sniper, Crafted bald Engie & Yellow belt to get Bald Sniper) I finally came out with a AWESOME HAT.
I crafted a Football Helmet (I have all the Heavy Hats, plus i think this one is the worst) with the Bald Sniper and this is what i received for my lowly sacrifice:



I mean i almost shit myself when i saw this, MY FIRST NEW COMMUNITY HAT! And it's with my 3rd favorite class also.
Not only does this beauty look good, it also flips down when you bring up your building menu and select something, like a dispenser.
Hobo said he took a screenshot for me and posted it on the forums, but i can't seem to find it.

Also @ Jay that hat is not that great. It is the best engi hat imo, but all the engi hats are bad. I had like 2 of them and crafted both.
