FNF 5.21 - Kirby's emergency edition.

So yeah, I'm not really doing FNF this week.


I was going to be, but my uncle hit a fucking elk in Wisconsin, and he's likely not going to make it past this weekend, so I'm sorta halfway across the country in a night.


Figured I'd make a post to let you guys throw ideas around for what you might want to do for FNF so if Caff can manage to get someone else, they might not have to think of a whole FNF of ideas in like... 3 hours.

Cops & Robbers:
Blu Gunpowder (Revolver or Ambassador) Spies on Defense (Points, intel, whatever) VS Red Baseball bat Scout & Shotgun heavy on Offense

Brawl:
All heavies in a small map (Punching Heavy Perhaps?)

Turtle Fortress 2 ()
Offense Solders VS Defense Engies

Bar-Room Blitz:
All bottle Demo-Men (Hats if yah want, someone play the song )

The Quick and The Dead:
All scouts, Round limit 2 Minutes

<No Name>
Snipers VS Pyros

Normandy:
Cart Map (Preferably one with little cover), Offense any class but Heavy or Spy, Defense Heavy and Sniper

Jocks VS Nerds:
Baseball bat Scouts VS Wrench (Or pistol/shotgun if we're feeling particularly morbid) Engies

The Enemy of my Enemy is my Friend:
Scout & Heavy VS Spy and Sniper

Furries VS Haters (Probably a bad idea, but WHATEVER)
Furries on one Team, Haters on the other. Those neutral balance the teams or if no balance is needed hit random.

Duel:
One on One combat, winner stays loser picks next combatant. After everyone has gone once (Or been eliminated, EG Asuming 20 players 3 lost on Blu, 10 on Red, Blu wins) a winner will be decided.

I suppose in any of these crazy ideas the winning team could decide on the next map...  Never said they were good ideas.. but there's what I got o.=.o I'll update this if I come up with anymore.

And don't worry about structuring FNF too much. Anything will work. If you need to take off early then I can end it for you.

So now that I'm not using some cool dudes laptop in a hospital to post (read: unknown computer) I can radmin into my house and post an update.

My uncle's gonna make it, but he's beat to shit. Broke both his arms, most of his left and the upper right portion of his ribcage, both collarbones and some of his skull.

He was lucky that the damage to his head was on his left cheekbone and lower eye socket and avoided any brain damage, because the Elk (Was about ~650 Lb buck, so he was on the large-ish side) came down entirely on the drivers side of the car, but due to the cars construction the Elk wasn't able to fall into the passenger compartment like it would have been able to on a normal 4 door sedan, but it was stopped from crushing him completely by the engine/firewall behind him. If it had been a normal 4 door car, the Elk would have landed lengthwise to the car on top of the drivers seat, and pretty much crushed the whole thing into the floor.

So now that my uncle isn't going to be ruining my lovely vacation week, I'm going to be getting on a plane later tonight and I'll be home on Monday

Echoing previous posters, not something many people live through....any idea how fast he was going when he hit the Elk?

Around like 40ish, it originally ran out in front of him at almost danger close range, then turned like it reconsidered and did a sidestep the way 4 legged animals do when they're turning around, right back into his path of travel. He hit it head to head, and with the size of the animal by the time it's front legs met the front bumper of the car, it's chest was damn near touching the windshield.

did the elk live?

It lived past the initial impact, but it had taken severe damage on it's chest due to the way the rollbar on the car broke, it got like 2 feet of metal pipe shoved into it's gut and was put down (read: shot in the head) when the officers arrived.
