Just wanted to post an announcement to let everyone know, we have officially rolled the fast download server for red and blue over to my new web server. So if you notice anything strange, let me know ASAP.
This new server is located in Chicago, and has a fatter pipe than my old host. The old one could reach upwards of 1.4MB/s, this one should be able to hit 2MB/s + Unfortunately, on the very 1st map change that took place that directed users to the new download server for the map, THERE WERE STILL BAD MAP REQUESTS. This means we can unfortunately 100% confirm that any map download errors were not a result of my old server, and are not a result of this one either. Source has a bug, I alerted VALVe to it a week after we initially noticed the problem around....two months ago? To date they still have not replied to my bug report, and have not followed up with me in any way shape or form. |
